DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and business management. Members are charged with organizing several KHS fundraisers and events throughout the year to exercise the marketing and leadership skills learned in the classroom. Some examples of these are the management and operation of the Bearcat Corner, organization of the Powder Puff football tournament, and attendance of various state and national DECA leadership conferences. At these conferences, students are able to connect with other like-minded, young business professionals and gain both business knowledge and experiences.
